THE ALPHA GROUP

The Alpha group consists of about 18 parishioners dedicated to personal sanctity through sharing Alpha courses with others.

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a course which is non-denominational, and is presented on video tape. After the presentation those present  form discussion groups. The course has been developed by Rev. Nicky Gumble and is for practicing Christians as well as lapsed Christians or those who simply want to know more about Christianity and the way in which the Lord works.

Most often, the course has been presented on Wednesday evenings, starting at 19:00 hrs with a bring and share meal untill 19:30 and then a video and finally discussion, which ends promptly at 21:45. The duration of a course is 11 weeks and includes a weekend retreat.

Other similar courses/seminars presented have been "A Life Worth Living" and "Life in the Spirit'.
